Job Summary

The Technical Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for multiple areas within Quality Assurance and will aid in auditing responsibilities and Quality metrics.  Also, helps in Technical Service with answering customer inquiries and producing new certificates of analysis as needed. 

Key Duties

  • Coordinates and performs document management processes through all lifecycle stages of the controlled Quality Management System documentation maintained by the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Uses quality management system to assist local site personnel in the change management process for implementing new and revised documents.
  • Assists with execution of hard copy records filing, retrieval, archiving, and destruction processes.
  • Will be the primary person for auditing work in process and inventory batch records.
  • Develops, revises Document Management system standard operating procedures and related job aids; serves as a subject matter expert to Quality Assurance department colleagues and affected local site staff.
  • Will aid in developing and obtaining Quality Metrics.
  • Will aid Technical Service with new product certificate of analysis, helping customer inquiries and additional tasks as needed.
  • Identifies, communicates, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement – under supervision.
  • Performs additional tasks and participates in special projects as required. 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • History of successful collaboration with multi-disciplinary, diverse teams comprised of a variety of management levels.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, and to deploy critical thinking skills to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Experience working with manual and electronic Quality Management Documentation Systems, such as MasterControl™ or similar.
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and related electronic data management and reporting platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and to work quickly and accurately to produce a variety of time-sensitive work products.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2 years’, experience with ISO-registered Quality Management Systems, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical

  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the workday in a multi-location facility.
  • Must be able to concentrate, analyse and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday.
  • Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the workday.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, stoop, reach, bend throughout the course of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift to 30lbs. multiple times daily.
  • May be required to work outside normal business hours including evenings and/or weekends to support business needs.
