Job Summary

The Area IDN Manager will be responsible for growing revenue by developing and managing strategic supply chain partnerships and contractual relationships with local and regional healthcare systems, IDNs and assigned GPOs. This role is an individual contributor role that must work well within a team environment and provide strategic and tactical guidance without direct-report responsibility. This position will develop, negotiate, implement and evaluate contractual agreements along with conducting normal day-to-day business relationship objectives. Successful candidate will collaborate with field sales team to collectively communicate, develop and execute growth strategies. Key Duties

  • Build and nurture business relationships with internal and external customers at executive levels using strategic and consultative methods.
  • Lead and collaborate with all Business Unit selling teams facilitating the supply chain portion of complex sales processes.
  • Strong knowledge of C-level buying influences at IDNs with ability to gain access to key decision makers.
  • Prospect, develop and implement strategies to penetrate IDN customers to grow and maintain business.
  • Gain and maintain key C-suite, relationships. Hold business reviews with IDN key decision makers.
  • Facilitate the National or Regional rollout of strategic GPO agreements.
  • Support Corporate Accounts and Sales Objectives by creating, implementing and maintaining effective IDN level strategies.
  • Develop local contract and pricing strategies to align with Meridian Bioscience, Inc. corporate initiatives.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews at select IDN’s.
  • Develop monthly performance targets for select IDN accounts and report on performance.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to develop campaigns which promote Meridian's products.
  • Present product and program information at IDN meetings.
  • Work with RM’s and Reps to identify, develop, execute and track IDN level opportunities.
  • Develop IDN selling strategy and train TSRs.
  • Negotiate local contracts and committed agreements with IDNs that provide profitable, long-term growth opportunities.
  • Develop montlhy compliance reporting and plans for remedial action.
  • Develop strategic relationships with our Distribution and GPO/IDN Reps, to grow and secure Meridian’s business.
  • Work with Marketing to support strategies with appropriate materials to assist sales force in executing plan.
  • Develop selling strategies which increase Meridian's presense within the managed care segment.
  • Work with sales admin and finance in tracking sales revenues, profitability, and contract compliance to ensure maximization of contract opportunity.
  • Input sales calls, contacts and account activities in CRM.
  • Communicate with sales and marketing regarding GPO/IDN activity, competitive information, etc.
  • Communicate with finance regarding financial models relative to GPO/IDN strategies.
  • Communicate with GPO/IDN contacts on product launches, changes, pricing, contract successes and resolve obstacles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business or related field.
  • 2-5 years sales experience in clinical diagnostics, microbiology, CLIA High/and or moderatly complex laboratory. 
  • Successful experience working with Health Systems, National Accounts and IDN’s preferred.

Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to develop and execute selling strategies which grow company’s GPO and IDN business.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business contracts and develop solutions which maximize company’s profitability.
  • Successful experience working with distribution channels.
  • Must be detailed oriented with ability to negotiate and execute contracts.
  • Must be proficient on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook at intermediate level or higher.
  • Must exhibit superior product knowledge across all product lines.
  • Must possess excellent planning, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.
  • May be required to work outside normal business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong confidentiality and ethics required.
  • Estimated - 70% travel

 Requirements (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands):

  • Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the work shift.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-location facility.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (nitrile or latex gloves, face shields/safety glasses, etc.).
  • Must be able to adhere to applicable biosafety practices when on the manufacturing floor or in laboratories.
  • Ability to travel by air/car as needed.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, stoop, reach, bend, push and pull throughout the course of the work shift.
