Job Summary

A Facility Support Specialist will support daily services for the Physical Plant Department. The Specialist will help in establishing procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. The Specialist will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish projects and goals.

Key Duties

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all preventive maintenance, repairs and calibrations, documenting in Blue Mountain Calibration Manager.
  • Coordinate all maintenance shutdowns.
  • Coordinate outside Vendor and Contractor services.
  • Greet and escort outside Vendors and Contractors to work areas.
  • Communicate updates on equipment discrepancies to Physical Plant Manager and department managers.
  • Maintain Blue Mountain Calibration Manager Data.
  • Assist in the writing, updating and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Record
  • Track data as assigned by the Physical Plant Manager
  • Responsible for the department Purchase Card. Responsibilities include purchasing, assigning purchase order number, create spread sheet to track monthly department spending, code expenses and balancing with month end report provided by the Finance Department.
  • Coordinate the on call schedule and reading of critical temperatures for after hour emergencies, weekends and holidays.
  • Take care of all company cell phones, activations, upgrades, contract renewals.
  • Assist with service agreement negotiations and renewals.
  • Initiate and document deviations.
  • Power User in Master Control.
  • Assist with Audits.
  • Assist with annual Vendor Evaluations.
  • Provide weekly Past Due Maintenance / Calibration report for Physical Plant Manager.
  • Assist with projects outside of normal job duties as needed.
  • Work with other supervisors in the absence of the Physical Plant Manager.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 3 plus years experience in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, E mail, and Internet use.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Project
