Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for performing planned and unplanned issues to a manufacturing order. The Material Handler supports the production, planning, and quality teams by performing a variety of services, such as raw materials movement, maintaining inventory records, material location transfers, OEM labelling, controlling access to both refrigerated and frozen raw materials and work in progress and then reporting inventory levels and stock turns per product family, aliquot breakdown, and audit support

Key Duties

Major Duties and Responsibilities
 Issue material to manufacturing orders in the Infor inventory management system.
 Enter data from all production documents into the Infor system for all manufacturing orders.
 Perform root cause analysis for variances within the locations and work directly with key stakeholders to identify,develop, and implement processes to improve accuracy.
 Responsible for all controlled documents maintenance in clear, concise, and detailed records.
 Perform accurate physical receipt of raw materials, components and assemblies, and final product as per current material receiving processes.
 Conduct inventory cycle counts of floor locations with the inventory control analyst or production staff.
 Ensure inventory accuracy of storage freezers, coolers, and shelves in both warehouse and production locations
 Detect, correct, and prevent waste or loss of raw material or partially finished product.
 Support department and organizational objectives
 Store partnered products and raw materials in temperature appropriate locations and transfer in system to update inventory.
 Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement – under supervision.
 Aid warehouse operations as needed, including shipping and receiving activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications
 High School Diploma plus 2+ years’ experience in warehousing or administration.

Other Duties/Physical Requirements
Physical
 Ability to communicate orally in a clear manner.
 Able to view and operate a personal computer monitor or laptop screen, sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
 Able to exert up to seventy-five (75) pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
 Ability to work inside refrigerators and freezers with the temperature ranging from 2C to -80C.
 Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, reach, stoop, lift, bend, push and pull carts and utility bins throughout the course of the work shift.
 Able to work in fast-paced environment with a high-volume workload and frequent, short deadlines that may require more than a 40-hour work week to meet established deadlines.

 Experience working with manual and electronic Quality Management Documentation Systems, such as MasterControl™ or similar.
 Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related electronic data management and reporting platforms.
 Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and to work quickly and accurately to produce a variety of time-sensitive work products.
 Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and other departments in a cross functional setting.
