Job Summary

As a newly created leadership position within Meridian Bioscience- Life Science business marketing team, you will have the opportunity to shape the brand’s overarching omni-channel strategy and be responsible for the execution. Success in this role will require strong digital strategy and channel execution experience, marketing & data operations knowledge, an understanding of the life science pace, and a hands-on attitude, with the ability to roll up your sleeves to drive implementation of the tactics in a dynamic and developing organization.

Key Duties

  • Serve as the digital SME & business partner to the Marketing & Sales Team and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development and be responsible for self-guided execution of a customer centric and product driven digital marketing demand generation engine through an understanding of Merdian’s target customer, competitors and product portfolio.
  • Evolve, promote, and grow the company's digital and omnichannel footprint and drive desired behavior change across all internal teams to deliver a robust customer centric digital program.
  • Implement a global Search Engine Marketing (SEM) program for Meridian using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google AdWords Pay-per-Click (PPC) as the primary tactics.
  • Create a comprehensive website strategy for the life sciences business, secure approval from leadership for proposed enhancements and collaborate closely with corporate communications to implement them effectively.
  • Expand company’s presence on additional paid digital channels such as Paid social media, 3rd party content syndication (webinars etc.) and agency partners, develop a clear plan and lead the implementation working closely with the rest of the marketing team.
  • Lead with data; Ensure data is a priority, that it is captured, and measurement strategies, along with KPI’s are designed at the onset. Optimize the marketing data dashboard and maintain a routine schedule for reporting on performance. Work closely with the corporate communications team to ensure that the marketing automation platform (HubSpot) is managed and maintained to allow for accurate reporting.
  • Analyze technology trends and identify and implement new opportunities to help drive an enterprise level digital marketing optimization program.
  • Seamlessly integrate omni-channel strategies into the overall product brand plan, ensuring alignment with the overall brand vision & strategy set by leadership.
  • Ensure perspectives from key stakeholders (Ops, Product Management, R&D, Privacy, Regulatory, IT) are accounted early and often.
  • Spearhead novel & innovative ways of working in the spirit of delivering the ideal customer experience.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and promotional opportunities and promote best practices across the organization.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and all key deliverables aligned to launch readiness.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • “Must have B2B commercial (marketing, sales, product management etc.) experience in a Life Science field”

  • Geographical location preference east, mid-south region
  • A minimum of 5-7+ years of professional relevant experience. required, with demonstrated experience of hands-on implementation of digital tactics and channels.
  • B2B marketing and/or Life Science preferred experience preferred.
  • Deep digital & omni-channel execution experience across core channels required.
  • Hands on experience working within marketing automation platforms preferably Hubspot.
  • Thorough understanding of the cross-functional interdependencies needed to successfully execute complex omni-channel efforts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing operations, data operations and data privacy.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Resourceful, decisive and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization.
  • Startup, emerging life science or biotech, or new team experience preferred.
  • Travel Required: Less than 20%
