The Manager, Global ERP Systems provides leadership for the ongoing use of the company’s ERP systems to ensure the continued flow of business operations.
Manages the company ERP systems and ERP systems staff to ensure efficient and top-quality service delivery. Ensure superior system performance along with excellent customer service to system users through managing development, support and maintenance activities of the company ERP.
Works closely and collaboratively with all users and departments in the organization to facilitate a team environment that allows users to work as efficiently and effectively as possible while allowing evaluation and organization of change requests from departments.
Works closely and collaboratively with direct reports and other IT staff to support, manage changes and deliver a high-quality ERP experience to business users throughout the world.
Works closely with Senior IT Leaders to establish strategies, develop project plans, prioritize and assign resources, set staff and system performance timelines, maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and statements of work.
Scope of responsibility includes global ERP system installations located at all One Meridian sites.
Department OperationsOversees the performance monitoring and manages operational efficiencies of the ERP systems.
Recommends and implement projects that increase employee efficiencies and corporate profit.
Functions as a leader, manager, and facilitator for select ERP projects.
Uses metrics to drive operational improvements.
Oversees the configuration, deployment, support, maintenance and testing of the ERP system.
Participates in the creation of regulatory documents and records, Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), and purchase requests.
Provides support for the daily operations of the ERP end users.
Champions and drives expanded use of new information technology systems and software in areas of responsibility.
Manages 3rd party utilities/software that integrate with the ERP System.
Establish and support EDI communications with EDI business partners.
Builds and maintains excellent vendor relationships.
Compliance
Ensures staff adherence to Quality System Regulations, Meridian’s corporate policies and procedures, all applicable
Applicable regulations including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), KSOX and MIS Narratives.
Provides requested objective evidence of compliance to internal / external auditors.
Managerial
Provides leadership, skill development opportunities, motivates and mentors the staff.
Conduct annual (at minimum) performance assessments.
Manages the day-to-day activities, work assignments, and on time completion of projects assigned to employees and contractors.
Functions as cross-functional leader and facilitator for ERP projects.
Recommends proper staffing (employee/contractor) and expense model while maintaining system user satisfaction.
Assists in creating, regularly monitoring and managing annual departmental expense and capital budgets.
Contract license review with outside vendors.
Supplier Annual Reviews completion for regulatory.
Other duties as assigned by the Senior IT Leaders.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an information technology role working with/managing an ERP system
Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory or managerial experience in an ERP environment required.
Prior experience in a business utilizing IBM iSeries-based ERP system is strongly desired.
Prior experience with Infor XA or other discrete manufacturing ERP is strongly desired.
Prior programming experience is desired
Demonstrated strong leadership, teambuilding, collaboration and organizational skills.
Ability to provide direct supervision and development opportunities for staff.
Prior experience with medical device manufacturing including FDA and ISO 13485 regulations a plus.
Highly motivated, readily adapts to changing priorities, effectively manages own time, sets priorities for direct reports to ensure tasks, multiple projects are prioritized and completed on time.
Possesses a high level of initiative and energy, an enthusiasm for learning, the capability to work with minimal supervision and have a client service approach to supporting users.
Detail oriented with an ability for creating, reviewing, and revising written Quality System documents.
Must possess outstanding communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills.
Possesses strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to train others in the effective use of technology.
Ability to research and recommend new applications of information technology.
Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.
Will be required to work hours outside the normal work schedule as needed to ensure departmental goals are met.
