Job Summary

The role is to assist the Senior Management Accountant with the day to day running of the finance functions and general accounting activities for the UK entities.

Key Duties

  • Month End

Month End

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Intercompany invoicing
  • General journal posting on the accounting system
  • General ledger maintenance and reconciliations as required
  • Recording and Reconciliation of fixed asset register
  • Assisting the Accountant with closing of sub-ledgers and the preparation of monthly reporting pack

Assisting with Purchase Ledger 

  • Purchase invoice processing
  • Recording and analyzing the employees’ cash and credit card expenses on a monthly basis
  • Purchase order matching
  • Assisting in investigating / resolving invoice processing issues
  • Setting up Customer & Suppliers on the system
  • Expenses processing and maintenance of Concur

Treasury and Bank reconciliations 

  • Weekly payment runs setup
  • Daily monitoring of receipts and payments from our bank accounts (GBP, Euro and USD)
  • Intercompany payments and receipts with payment terms
  • Reconciling Bank accounts (GBP, Euro and USD)

Other / Reporting 

  • Assist with UK VAT return (quarterly)

Liaising with the Auditors at year-end

  • Ad-hoc requests
  • Expenses

 

Qualifications

  • ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified (continuing to study or working towards)
  • Good Excel skills
  • Have an analytical mind
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines and prioritising effectively
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work and high attention to detail
