Job Summary

The Technical Service Intern will support key initiatives within the Technical Service department, assisting with data integrity projects, documentation updates, workflow mapping, and operational improvements. This role provides hands-on exposure to service operations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while helping improve overall departmental productivity and service quality.

Key Duties

  • Assist with Salesforce Instrument Tracking data verification
  • Support data mining for LeadCare instrument tracking migration to Salesforce
  • Coordinate instrument return (RMA) documentation
  • Assist with monthly metrics and reporting
  • Convert tribal knowledge into formal procedures and documentation
  • Organize and tag internal documents in SharePoint, Teams, and J:Drive
  • Standardize technical service templates and report formats
  • Create weekly summaries for recurring and high-volume issues
  • Develop and update training decks and quick start guides
  • Document current service workflow (MC → Diagnose → Repair → QC → Close)
  • Assist in building a Technical Service Onboarding Portal
  • Arrange and catalog storage areas and destroy expired USB keys
  • Monitor the Technical Service mailbox and route inquiries

Qualifications

  • Student at an accredited college or university majoring in Biology, Microbiology, Medical Technology preferred
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player and a team builder
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Demonstrates accountability for his/her decision
  • Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive sales analysis reports.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills (preferable Excel)
  • Business analytics software experience
  • ERP software experience
  • Capability to seek all opportunities to be a problem-solver.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate with internal and external customers and establish good relationships and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate good prioritization skills.
