Primary role is to design and execute experiments, draw conclusions, and make data-driven decisions.
• Independently design and execute experiments.
• Present data, draw meaningful conclusions and recommend decisions.
• Be a strong contributor to brainstorming discussions.
• Work with assay team members to organize internal studies.
• Serve as technical expert to lead discussions within an assay team and recommend decisions.
• Work cross-functionally to facilitate technology transfer.
• Train junior team members.
• Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
• Collaborate effectively with global assay team members and technical partners across different cultures and geographic locations.
• Bachelor of Science degree with 5 years of practical experience, or Master of Science degree with 2 years of practical experience, or Ph.D. degree.
• Proficient knowledge in the areas of microbiology, immunology and biochemistry as related to infectious diseases and immunoassay development.
• Experience in laboratory techniques related to protein chemistry and assay development such as protein expression and purification, antibody development and purification and various protein analysis techniques.
• Proficient data management skills using statistical software such as Minitab.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to present data, communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficient documentation skills at GLP/GMP levels.
• Ability to plan and organize studies within an assay team.
• Ability to serve as a technical expert to lead discussions within an assay team and recommend decisions.
• Travel 0-10%
